Therapy Dog Training

Therapy Dogs are trained and socialised to various environments and provide emotional support alongside their handler, they can work in places such as hospitals, aged care facilities, mental health facilities or schools. They are handled, e.g., by a health therapist, medical professional, psychologist or volunteers who visit with their dogs.

Costs: $100.00 (plus travel, if applicable) per 1-hr lesson

 

Requirements: Dog-Handler-Team Assessment (one-off fee: $150)

Walking open stairs is one of the skills a Therapy Dog has to master. 

Your Therapy Dog must learn the essential skill of loose lead walking, even in the presence of distractions such as other dogs, animals, children and more.
